Mike Gentry




Mike is a Partner on our Tax Services Team and has more than 40 years of experience. Mike provides tax consulting services, including comprehensive corporate, partnership and individual research, planning, review and compliance, and representation before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as well as other state and local tax authorities for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Mike also provides tax planning and advocacy for both C and S corporations involving equity dispositions, tax-free reorganizations, and liquidation tax analysis for both the company and the shareholders. He assists corporations with a myriad of applications for change in accounting methods, related party issues and planning, and a host of other significant corporate tax items such as equity compensation, debt discharge, and inventory capitalization issues. Mike provides compliance and planning services to not-for-profits, including member service groups, social services, and philanthropic organizations. He assists charitable organizations with preparation of applications for tax-exempt status and advises on operational matters, including tax structure, tax planning involving reorganization, sales tax application, payroll issues and accounting.
