MCM CPAs & Advisors LLP, an accounting and business advisory firm headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is pleased to welcome Chris Purvis, CPA, in the position of Assurance Partner with the Firm as of July 12, 2021. Chris has more than 17 years of experience providing audit and advisory services for financial institutions. Previously, Chris was with Elliott Davis in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was the leader of the Charlotte Audit Practice as well as the leader of the Firm’s Financial Services Group for the North Carolina and Kentucky territories.

His experiences include assisting his clients with de novo bank formation, mergers and acquisitions, consent order remediation, branch purchases and sales, and capital raises. In addition to his time in public accounting, Chris was also previously employed as the Controller of a mid-sized community bank based in Kentucky.

Chris will join MCM’s Financial Institutions Services Team, led by Henry Hawkins, CPA, based in the Firm’s Louisville, KY office. “I’m glad to be back in my home state of Kentucky and I’m ready to hit the ground running at MCM,” said Purvis. “I’m especially looking forward to working with the financial institutions team and supporting our growth locally, as well as in our Indianapolis and Cincinnati markets.”

Chris is a member of the University of Kentucky Accounting Advisory Board and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He attended the Kentucky Bankers Association General School of Banking and the North Carolina Bankers Association Regulatory Compliance School. He also attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Chris holds a Certified Public Accountant distinction.
